Plug-In 2013 returns to California, the top PEV market in the world. Due to the extremely strong statewide support for PEVs, the Southern California location offers several advantages:

  • The California Air Resources Board, California Energy Commission, South Coast Air Quality Management District and city governments – whose officials frequently cannot travel outside of the state due to budget restrictions – will be represented in San Diego.
  • California is currently experiencing the largest build-out of PEV infrastructure in the country and is home to the nation’s most active PEV readiness movement – with the CEC currently coordinating regional PEV readiness grants that cover more than 300 cities.
  • The state also has a number of other PEV purchase incentives, grants and deployment initiatives that make PEVs more attractive to both fleets and consumers.
  • San Diego offers easy access to both mainstream and trade media interested in covering industry developments at this critical time.

The Road to Greater Value

  • There will be strong coordination and cooperation at Plug-In 2013 with federal PEV initiatives including Clean Cities and the EV Everywhere Grand Challenge.
